We dive with delight on this "Made in the USA", a new album by Floridians Buster Cousins, with multi-instrumentalist Tim Kelliher in charge, still supported by Mike Galloway and Mark Emerick. It is fashionable to recall in our auditory memories the select pieces that the Buster Cousins produced for us. To begin with, in 2007, in a "Southern Rock" vein, the pearl "Outlaws & Renegades" by Galloway & Kelliher, then "Jacksonville" in 2012, and the eclectic "Swampland" in 2015 between which comes "Wild Dogs", Galloway & Kelliher's blues album. Now make way for this "Made in the USA" in thirteen tracks with various styles, from Country Rock Americana opening on "Tuff out Here", then the album title "Made in the USA" which conscientiously bucks "swamp", an incentive to reverie on "Just a little love peace", filled with limpidity by the master pedal steel-guitarist Buddy Cage of the New Riders of the Purple Sage, unfortunately deceased at the beginning of the year. Very good guitar-level stuff on the tracks "Florida" and the bluesy "Long Hard Road". More roots between Bluegrass and Country Rock on "Go out and hit the Road", the little wonder of the album "Back to the Country" which fits well in the meninges by its sense of rhythm, that's only happiness, like the two end titles: "Mohawk Man" and "Dixie Lullaby". FYI, Tim Kelliher/Buster Cousins ​​is also releasing an album dedicated to Stephen Stills entitled "Love & War", mainly in eleven tracks, as covers of Stephen Stills, with a superb version of "It Doesn't Matter" by Manassas on top, with, excuse the little, Al Perkins and his pedal steel as a guest. The "Right On", also by Manassas, played in a very percussive way embellishes the album which will not leave unconditional fans of the Texan guitarist indifferent.
